Principal Engineer - Track and Overhead

The Suburban Rail Loop Authority is seeking to engage an experienced, subject matter expert Principal Engineer, Track and Overhead.

This position will be responsible for providing technical leadership across rail infrastructure in the planning and delivering aspects of Suburban Rail Loop.

The role will call on relevant project development and delivery management experience relating to brownfield rail projects including integration across multiple disciplines and stakeholder organisations including Department of Transport, VicTrack, Rail Operators and interface projects.

The ability to maintain strong relationships across a broad range of internal and external stakeholders and manage and communicate project implications of complex technical issues is fundamental for the success of the role.

Principal Engineer - Power Systems

The Principal Engineer, Power Systems is a subject matter expert role within the project's Engineering team, providing expert technical leadership across all Power Systems, ensuring power systems objectives are achieved for Suburban Rail Loop, including wider network electrification enhancements.

This role will lead the High Voltage systems architecture and provide subject matter expertise to cover all traction and related power systems including rail substations, earthing, bonding and electrolysis, electromagnetic compatibility and interference, signal power systems and associated high voltage distribution systems.

Working closely within a multidisciplinary team environment, the Principal Engineer, Power Systems will be the primary source of specialist technical power related advice.

Working with multiple stakeholders, this role will consult with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders influencing key project decisions.  

You will be a highly focused and driven person who is passionate about contributing to the delivery of public infrastructure, working within a high-performing project team to drive exceptional outcomes.

You will be a qualified electrical engineer or qualified in a similar discipline with experience working within large projects.

Principal Engineer - Mechanical Works

The Principal Engineer, Mechanical & Electrical is a subject matter expert role within the project's Engineering team, providing expert technical leadership across all MEP systems, ensuring MEP systems objectives are achieved for Suburban Rail Loop.

This role will provide subject matter expertise on LV power, ventilation, fire detection and suppression systems.

Working closely within a multidisciplinary team environment, the Principal Engineer, MEP will be the primary source of specialist technical MEP related advice.

Working with multiple stakeholders, this role will consult with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders influencing key project decisions.

You will be a highly focused and driven person who is passionate about contributing to the delivery of public infrastructure, working within a high-performing project team to drive exceptional outcomes.

You will be a qualified mechanical or electrical engineer or qualified in a similar discipline with experience working within large projects. You will enjoy a fast paced, performance focused workplace where you will have the opportunity to work autonomously and develop your career.

Principal Engineer - Rail Systems

This Principal Engineer, Rail Systems is responsible for providing leadership in the development and implementation of rail systems for Suburban Rail Loop.

The role will call on experience and expertise gained from working through all phases of the project lifecycle in complex technology based systems for major rail projects.

The ability to work within a multi-discipline project team and to build and maintain strong working relationships across a broad range of internal and external stakeholders to manage and assist resolution of complex issues will be fundamental for success in this role.
