SRLA Chief Executive Nick Foa has been seconded to a senior role at the Department of Transport as part of a temporary Victorian Public Service restructure to facilitate the state’s COVID-19 response and recovery.

Under new arrangements announced by the Premier, Department Secretaries have taken on special COVID-19 responsibilities; as a result, Associate Secretaries have been appointed to manage the day-to-day operations of departments.

Mr Foa will serve as Associate Secretary of the Department of Transport during this six-month period.

Tom Considine has been appointed Acting Chief Executive Officer at Suburban Rail Loop Authority.

Mr Considine joins the Authority on secondment from Development Victoria, where he has led the development and delivery of major capital projects and infrastructure outcomes for the past four years as the Group Head, Advisory & Civic Infrastructure.

With a career in the public sector at both Commonwealth and State level, Mr Considine is uniquely positioned to lead SRLA during this critical time in Victoria’s economic recovery. He was instrumental to Suburban Rail Loop’s initial concept development and 2018 Strategic Assessment in his role at Development Victoria.
